I'm alive...
My notes from the last days will be posted soon... for now I'm enjoying a few days of vacation before heading back to Pasadena. More updates on Monday... but I'm not going to be posting until then. I need the break.

Thanks, J! Miss you guys... and I'm glad you liked the blog. There are 2 more days of notes that I'll post tonight...
As for the newspapers... it wasn't hard to predict. The moderator and stated clerk held a press conference Tuesday night after the vote. It was big news, and from everything I've seen reported, it was totally misunderstood all around.
I hope Patrick was helpful. I do not think he is as optimistic as I am, but that's normal. I'm known as a bit of a Pollyanna - always seeing the world through rose-colored glasses.
All I can say is that I hope and pray that churches and Presbyteries will think and pray and not react in haste. And if they feel the need to leave, I just pray that it is done in peace and love and quietly. I don't want churches to stick around if they feel that we have gone against our principles, or that we're now espousing something that is not biblical. But I would hope and expect folks to stick around long enough to see what happens next. See how the AI will be interpreted, and how the ordination process will change, or how it won't change.
More to come in a post tonight...
